Hello All,
Happy belated Father’s Day and Happy Juneteenth.
I am excited to get back to the weekly newsletter! It's been a while since our last issue on April 24, but I'm happy to say that I'm back and will be writing this newsletter on a weekly basis again.
During my time away, I've been busy with podcasting and now YouTube, but I'm excited to get back to sharing my thoughts and insights with all of you.
In this week's issue, I will highlight my recent work and podcasts as well as share what interesting things have been happening that impact venture-backed founders per usual.
Thank you for your continued support, and I hope you enjoy this week's edition of the newsletter!
Let’s get to it!

My work

Episode 012: MoonPay Founders Sell Shares, Plaid's Data Collection, and New Business from Laundry with Scott Patterson. (Link)
On last week's show, I highlighted two unique stories. One of them was about the impressive secondary market access that the Moonpay team had at its peak. Additionally, I discussed Plaid, a now "old school" fintech, and the implications of their product that make it easy to switch bank accounts.
Check out episode 44 of the newsletter where I talked about the implications of secondary shares (link)
I started a Youtube channel. My goal is to get more creative and share the episodes in a video format as well. Check out the first episode and a clip from Matt Martin, CEO of Clockwise on how he runs his weekly schedule. Clockwise has raised over $75 million in venture and more importantly has happy customers like Atlassian, Reddit, Netflix, and Asana. (link)

Final Thoughts
This week I am heading to the OnRamp Conference in Minneapolis, MN. It will be my first time in Minnesota and I hear great things.
I will be hosting a panel that will feature an Embedded Insurance Deep Dive with Randel Bennett of Swiss Re and Aaron Chan of State Farm Ventures. I will also be presenting ModernTax to a slew of insurance and insurance tech folks. I am excited about a few trips out to the Midwest this summer as that is where a lot of the insurance companies are based.
